Grant Brodnik

Grant received his B.S. in Optical Engineering in 2014 from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a dual-degree M.S. at Rose-Hulman and Seoul National University of Science and Technology, conducting research involving high-power diode laser characterization and performance metrics. He is currently pursuing an ECE Ph.D. in the OCPI Group with a focus on system-level integration of Ultra-Low-Loss (ULL) SiN photonic devices, with applications leveraging narrow linewidth and frequency stablized lasers such as coherent communications, optoelectronic oscillators, and integrated optical sensors. In his spare time Grant enjoys pick-up sports, cookouts and bonfires on the beach, and exploring Santa Barbara with friends.
